Proposal to Issue One-Time USDC Grant to Fund Amplifiers Program Incentives

Proposal: One-Time USDC Grant to Fund Amplifiers Program Incentives

Author: Amplifiers Program

Summary

Over the past 10 months since the Amplifiers program launch, content creation has expanded, the quality of contributions is refining, and our Ampleforth Ecosystem is garnering interest from new entrants eager to join. Along with this good news, workload demands for core contributors (Zacharias, Guzman, Bhau, JAM, Nestor) have also grown to full-time.

To meet these priorities and continue this community‑driven era for Ampleforth, we respectfully request a one‑time USDC grant of $350,000 from the FORTH DAO treasury.

This funding will provide a 12‑month operational runway, fund performance‑based compensation for high‑performing Amplifiers, and establish a five‑person Ampleforth‑native Core Unit (consisting of the five core contributors above). With this support, the Amplifiers Program can deliver critical governance, community engagement, and ecosystem‑growth initiatives that generate lasting value for Ampleforth.

Why It Matters

  1. Sustainability: Secures 12 months of reliable funding to retain and empower a dedicated, Ampleforth‑native Core Unit.

  2. Growth: Fuels the expansion of the Amplifiers Ambassador Program and rewards high‑impact ecosystem contributors.

  3. Impact: Drives critical initiatives in governance participation, developer integrations, and community engagement.

Use of Funds

  • Core Unit Operations: Five-member compensation and program expenses (including the development of Ampleforth-focused platforms like Elastic Money, AmplCast, and DocumentingAmpl).

  • Performance Incentives: Compensation for top‑performing Amplifiers with growing delegations.

  • Administration & Transparency: Monthly multi-sig disbursements with quarterly reporting to ensure accountability.

Budget Alignment

  • Aligned with industry standards and scaled to match current DAO treasury capacity.

Amplifiers Program Performance To-Date

The Amplifiers Ambassador Program powers our ecosystem’s content and engagement by creating thousands of posts, amplifying Ampleforth and Fragments protocol marketing, and drawing new participants into Ampleforth & laying the groundwork for a Fragments protocol implementation.

Achieving these results has depended on Core Unit members and standout Amplifiers working far past the original responsibilities and compensation set at the program’s start, thus marking the importance of this proposal in ensuring we can all continue to drive this value forward.

What We Will Deliver

OKRs / KPIs

The Core Unit will be tasked with setting, planning, and reaching several program-wide annual and quarterly objectives / KPIs. These KPIs will be defined in the first month and be made available via Elastic Money:

Pillars Expanded

1. Community & Education:

Create a larger, more active Ampleforth community — Increase the number of engaged, informed community members within internal channels (Discord, etc.) and external channels (X, etc.). Expand support and incentives to develop a self-sustaining community culture through initiatives like the Amplifiers Ambassador Program and regular events, attracting and retaining high-value talent to Ampleforth.

2. Governance:

Boost FORTH governance participation and effectiveness — Encourage more effective proposal submissions and higher voter turnout from token holders. Aim to steadily improve governance activity metrics and treasury usage (proposals, discussions, voting rates, yield generation) each quarter, moving toward the high engagement levels seen in leading DAOs.

3. BD & Integrations:

Expand Ampleforth’s integrations, partnerships, and native talent pool — Secure a pipeline of potential AMPL / SPOT / stAMPL / FORTH integrations into new DeFi platforms, exchanges, and other networks, and strengthen existing partnerships that extend Ampleforth’s utility (like Asymmetry). Attract fresh developer talent back to the ecosystem. By year-end, develop an integrated coalition of friendly protocols, dApps, developers, and services that support AMPL.

Content & Growth Strategies

From SPOT’s breakthrough inflation resistance to its liquidation immunity, the Ampleforth ecosystem holds unparalleled value. Despite initiatives like the SPOTTER Playbook and Operation Bootstrap, our richest content remains fragmented and too abstract for many users.

Below, we outline a cohesive plan to package these insights into actionable, user‑first deliverables:

Content Themes

1. Elastic Money Narratives:

  • LVAs, SPOT Protocol (Enrichment, Debasement, Deviation Ratio)

  • Abstract eclectic takes on “elasticity” and the “messy middle” of finance to reach wider audiences

2. DeFi & Web3 Edification

  • Explainers: how rebases work, yield strategies, governance mechanics

  • Tutorials: vault walkthroughs, wallet setup, SPOT vs. stAMPL use-cases

3. Ecosystem Highlights

  • Quarterly health checks: TVL breakdown, liquidity depth, token flows

  • Developer spotlights: tools, dashboards, bots being built on AMPL

4. Culture & Current Events

  • Macro tie-ins: “Why elasticity matters in today’s markets”

  • Rapid response: clipping & contextualizing deep content around trending crypto news

While other programs have driven users to “farm” points or NFTs (e.g. Layer3 CUBEs) in pursuit of speculative gains, our approach as Amplifiers is different.. Under Core Unit leadership, we’re building Web3’s most knowledge‑centric engagement model:

  • Knowledge Farming: Instead of farming speculative assets, users farm deep insights into the Ampleforth ecosystem and SPOT Protocol. Their “yield” is real economic understanding and long‑term self‑sovereignty.

  • Micro‑Learning, Macro‑Impact: We distill core economic concepts (e.g. opportunity cost, the Austrian school) into ultra‑concise, visually rich modules that are designed for today’s attention spans and dramatically more engaging than dense, long‑form prose.

  • Gamified On‑Chain Engagement: Learning culminates in hands-on‑chain activities (using platforms like Layer3, Galxe, or a future bespoke Ampleforth solution) to “close the loop” between theory and practice.

The Outcome: Users don’t just “earn” points – they become educated, active SPOT users. And in doing so, they naturally choose to deploy capital into the Ampleforth ecosystem, cementing its position as the smartest financial destination in Web3.

Strategic Benefits & Closing Thoughts

  • High‑Leverage Investment: A one‑time $350K outlay secures a 12‑month runway for the Amplifiers Program with a fully aligned Core Unit – reversing talent attrition and igniting ecosystem momentum with outsized ROI potential.

  • Stronger Governance & Community: Bolsters active DAO participation, deepens developer integrations, and elevates Ampleforth’s standing in the broader Web3 landscape at a critical inflection point.

  • Built‑In Accountability: We will publish quarterly public reports detailing key metrics, budget allocation, and program milestones – ensuring transparent oversight and continuous performance tracking.

  • Immediate, Scalable Impact: This grant delivers ready‑to‑deploy funding for Core Unit operations and Ambassador incentives, enabling measurable growth, sustained engagement, and tangible value creation over the next 12 months

In summary: We invite governance to approve this targeted USDC grant: a simple, effective catalyst to power our Ampleforth‑native Core Unit and high‑performing Amplifiers, driving sustainable growth and long‑term value for the ecosystem.

The value delivered so far by the Amplifiers speaks for itself and It’s been inspiring to watch this group grow and lead with intention. Full support from me

The Amplifiers are among the deepest, most outside the box group of thinkers producing focused, quality content in crypto.

Years later, newcomers are till slow to understand the basic mechanics of the protocol. As further depth is added to the ecosystem, having dedicated, intelligent people to examine, explore, and explain core, novel monetary concepts will remain vital. Metrics regarding reach speak for themselves. I’m in full support of this proposal.

When you compare the value that the amplifiers bring compared to what a full-fledged marketing team would cost to take care of that same work (or even less, actually), this proposal seems like a no-brainer to me.

AMPL is an enigma and there are so many layers to uncover, having a group of passionate people dedicated to helping raise awareness about what is being built and why it is special is a big added value.

If this proposal is passed, I would also encourage the core team to delegate any work they wish to Amplifiers and continue to build a stronger connection so Amplifiers can take more time off your hands in having to deal with comms and business development.

the Amplifiers Program has demonstrated measurable impact

2+ million impressions and 90% of Ampleforth content creation shows real community building tbh!

timing is critical. we’re entering a potential bull market cycle where narrative and community engagement become exponentially more valuable. projects with strong, consistent messaging capture disproportionate attention and capital flows.

the requested 350k$ would provide 12-month operational stability for proven contributors who are already working at full capacity. failing to support this momentum now would be particularly damaging when market conditions favor active, engaged communities.

strategic advantages:

  • established content infrastructure ready to scale with increased market interest

  • proven ability to maintain consistent messaging across multiple channels

  • performance-based compensation model that rewards results

  • quarterly reporting ensures accountability and measurable outcomes

the alternative is watching our most productive contributors burn out just as market conditions become favorable. that would be a missed opportunity.

this is probably not a speculative funding but supporting demonstrated performers who have built the foundation for Ampleforth’s community presence.

the DAO should approve this request. the amplifiers program has earned this funding through consistent delivery.

Having seen the hard work and dedication of the current Amplifiers—specifically Zacharias, Bhau, Guzman, Nestor, and JAM—I know first-hand the amount of time and effort being spent to grow the Ampleforth ecosystem.

Ampleforth’s complexity makes high-quality education and marketing a top priority. The current results of the Amplifiers’ work speak for themselves, and I’m confident that with these additional incentives, they will be empowered to produce even more impactful content and attract new talent to the program.

Funding this initiative is a direct investment in the continued growth and understanding of the Ampleforth protocol and I fully support this proposal.

The Amplifiers team has already been doing the work. Driving content, community, integrating efforts that amplifies Ampleforth’s presence across web3 producing growth for Ampleforth. This grant gives them the stability to keep going and scale it up.

Clear goals, clear reporting, real impact. Let’s back what’s working guys.

What do you intend to spend $350k on?

Hey Fiddlekins great to hear from you.

The $350K is intended to be a roughly 60/40 split between the ‘Core Unit’ (Bhau, Guzman, JAM, Nestor, and myself) and then the other 20+ tenured ambassadors we currently participating within the program. Specifically, it provides the capital for two of the five to retain their Full Time commitments and the other three as PT comp positions.

We didn’t want to over-stress the DAO with more then 2 FT as cash is the DAO’s lifeline to other bootstrapping opportunities. As for the rest of those funds, the Amplifiers program itself will have the capital to expand its number of higher-tiered ambassadors with increased delegations and provide a boost for all other positions that we have asked to go above and beyond the original scope of the work.

This is exactly how treasury funds should be deployed, to proven performers with clear accountability mechanisms. The growth the amplifiers program has brought to date isn’t small, and i hoppe to see even more growth with this funding. I’m all for this. let’s get it passed!

Since Q4 2024 (inception), what was the annualized amount set aside for the Amplify program.

Just trying to get a sense of the % increase $350k represents.

It seems quite steep to me, which is why I want some context.

Great question.

Since program inception, we have operated on a month-to-month budget of ~$200K or less (bootstrapped by the core dev team), covering the monthly stipends of 20-30 ambassadors and its leadership. This budget reflected small, part-time commitments, which was sufficient at launch but has become vastly insufficient given how the program’s scope and workload have evolved.

Since January 2025, all five Core Unit members have shifted to near full-time contributions (~160 hours/month each), representing nearly a 280% increase in labor hours without a commensurate increase in compensation. When we translate this into realistic Web3 market rates, the true value of the labor delivered well exceeds $600K+ annually, substantially higher than the original part-time budget.

Amplifiers leadership have eaten this difference for 7+ months. The proposed $350K increase represents a +175% increase, an essential step toward closing this gap for the next year. Framed another way:

  • Original annualized budget: ~$200K (part-time effort)

  • Effective annual labor value at market rates: $600K+ (full-time leadership effort + increasing workloads for ambassadors)

  • Proposed budget increase: $350K, a 175% increase, which still only covers about 58% of the actual Core Unit labor value delivered.

Delegation alone has not been able to close this gap and has resulted in growing workloads for all (a good problem to have, re: the metrics shared in the original post) but has led to higher-tier ambassador exits. Reversing this is essential.

Thanks for the comparison; Proposal is fair.

I’m in support.

I am not a amplfier, but they are all over X and help keep the momentum going for Ampl while waiting for things to materialize.

I think if there are members working full time, and are delivering value, they should be compensated for it to match market rates for full time ambassadors

The Amplifiers Program has continuously been proving its value amplifying awareness, deepening community roots, and driving real participation. A one-time USDC grant to fund amplifier program incentives is a kind request in continuous momentum building on what’s already working.

Fully in support of this. :flexed_biceps:
